UK Toy Safety Advice: Step2 Push Around Buggy

Step2 have issued safety advice to owners of the Step2 Push Around Buggy that has been on sale through a variety of retailers from 1999 until March 2010.

This advice concerns models with a yellow pan head locking pin: the yellow knob pin can become loose and allow the handle to separate from the buggy.

The affected buggies have pins with yellow plastic knobs on the back of the buggy attaching the handle to the buggy. If the handle of your buggy attaches with a bolt and screw, you have a new design and your buggy is not involved in this recall.

Owners should inspect their buggy and, if it has a pin with a yellow plastic knob, stop using it immediately and call Step2 for a repair kit. Do not use the buggy until the repair kit is installed.

To receive a buggy repair kit: visit Step2’s website and fill out the form at the bottom of the page, or call Step2 free on 0800 393159 between 9 am and 5 pm Monday to Friday.
