Mini Micro Scooters Recalled in the USA Due to Laceration Hazard

Kickboard USA and the US Consumer Products Safety Commission (CPSC) have recalled around 5,600 Mini Micro Scooters because of a potential risk of lacerations.

Mini Micro Scooters feature a one-piece plastic platform that also covers the front wheel base; this can break, exposing a sharp edge that could injure children with cuts or abrasions. So far, no incidents of injuries have been reported.

These scooters where made in Germany and are designed by Micro-Mobility, based in Switzerland.

Only specific batches of Mini Micro Scooters are involved in the recall. The following model numbers and serial numbers are affected, the numbers can be found on a sticker on the bottom of the scooter:

Recalled Mini Micro Scooters : where to find the model and serial numbers Mini Micro Scooters were sold in independent toy stores in the USA, on Amazon.com and Kickboardusa.com for around $85, from May 2012 to July 2012.

This product should be taken away from children immediately and Kickboard USA should be contacted for a free replacement product.
