Choking Hazard Prompts Mothercare to Issue Safety Notice Over Whale Bay Sleep Bags

 

Recalled Mothercare Whale Bay Sleep Bag

Mothercare has issued safety advice to owners of its Whale Bay range of sleep bags. The affected sleep bags, designed for children under two years of age, have a decorative button which has no functional use but if it becomes detached it could be a potential choking hazard.

Mothercare recommends owners cut off the button with a pair if scissors or return to a Mothercare store where it can be cut off for you. However, if you want to return the sleep bag for a full refund or exchange, you may do so.

These affected products were sold from the 2nd February to the 24th August 2015, no other Mothercare sleep bags are affected by this advice. The recalled Whale Bay Sleep Bags have the following product details:
