Graham Barker has been appointed as Vice – President of Operations at Toys “R” Us (UK) just days after Roger McLaughan’s employment had officially ended.
Mr. Barker had previously been employed in a senior role at the company before, as head of retail operations but did not have a directorship.
Soon after Toys “R” Us was bought by a consortium of venture capital companies (Bain Capital Partners LLC, Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. and Vornado Realty Trust), Mr Barker left to start his own company, Ipek Trading, which he co-owned and managed with his wife. Ipek Trading was dissolved in 2013.
