The Entertainer has announced that it has designated the first hour of opening, every Saturday as Quiet Hour in all of its stores.
In-store music will be switched off during this time, in order to provide a more comfortable environment for children with autism.
Many on the autism spectrum have difficulty processing everyday sensory information, loud music and noises are among the things that someone can be hypersensitive to.
Quiet Hour will provide a welcome opportunity for autistic children to enjoy the pleasure of visiting a toy shop.
During the February half-term, The Entertainer held a Quiet Hour every morning. The success of this has led the toy retailer to decide to make this a permanent feature of every Saturday morning.
