Injury Risk Prompts Huffy to Recall Torex Ride-on Toy UTVs Sold at Walmart

Recalled Huffy Torex Ride-on toy UTV sold at Walmart

Huffy has recalled over five thousand battery powered ride-on vehicles because the they move on their own unexpectedly.

There have been 36 reported incidents where the Huffy Torex 24V ride-on UTV moved
unexpectedly when connecting the battery after charging. This could pose an injury hazard,
however, so far no injuries have been reported.

About 5,150 units of this toy vehicle were sold at Walmart stores nationwide and online at
www.walmart.com. The product was available from August 2019 through to September 2020
and cost around $500.

The specific recalled toy is: Huffy-branded Torex 24-volt ride-on toy UTV (model number
17249).

These toy UTVs are black with red trim, and have “Torex” labels placed on its front and sides.

The model number and date codes are located under left rear wheel well above left rear wheel.

Use of this toy should stop immediately and Huffy should be contacted for a free replacement
controller.
