Batman Edition of Rory’s Story Cubes Launches in Islington

Rory’s Story Cubes : Batman launch at Waterstone's in Islington

Rory’s Story Cubes : Batman launched on Thursday at the Islington, London branch of Waterstone’s. Rory O’Connor, co-inventor and illustrator of the game, was in children’s department of the bookshop to demonstrate and sign copies of the new version of the popular game.

Many children arrived at the bookshop after school to play and many may have heard about the crime-ridden Gotham City for the first time directly from Mr. O’Connor himself.

For the uninitiated, Rory’s Story Cubes is a non-competitive game played with nine dice that have a unique picture on each of the 54 sides. A player rolls the dice and tells a story based upon the nine illustrations that land face-up, there are millions of possible combinations from each roll of the dice. Further expansion pack are also available.

Rory’s story Cube provides a great way for family and friends to get together and spend some quality time with each other away from TV screen, computer or complicated, un-fun board game.

The following day, Mr. O’Connor made an appearance in the O’Connell Street, Dublin branch of Eason’s. World Batman Day will see a final launch event being hosted at the Comic Book Guys, Spire Mall, Belfast starting at 2 pm until 4 pm on Saturday 26th September.
