LEGO Launches Ship in a Bottle

LEGO Ideas Ship in a Bottle - on stand

A LEGO ship is to launch in February, not on the high seas but instead in toy shops stocking the popular brand of construction bricks in the form of LEGO Ideas Ship in a Bottle.

The new set replicas a familiar modellers favourite – a ship in a bottle – using LEGO blocks. The product is based on a design by LEGO enthusiast Jake Sadovich, who submitted his own creation to the LEGO Ideas website, which allows the public to submit ideas for future sets and allows members to vote for their favourite designs.

Having gained the required 10,000 votes needed for it to be reviewed by the company – the design has now become a finished product that will be available from 1st February 2018.

LEGO components in this set are used to build the ship, bottle and display stand. Even the bottle stopper is made from LEGO pieces and this model is the first to feature a new wax seal element that is new to 2018.
