LEGO has re-released its 5,923 piece model of the Taj Mahal, a set that was first launched in 2008.

Based on the famous landmark building in India, this set is available now from the LEGO Shop for £299.99.

When the original model sold-out from stores, some collectors paid in excess of £1,000 on eBay. In August (2017), one fetched £695 on the auction website, while in November one sold for £586 and another £477.99.

Depicting the building’s familiar architectural features, buyers of this set will be constructing: arches and arched windows; the central dome; four subsidiary domed chambers and four minarets, all topped with decorative finials; a raised platform lined with recessed arches; ornate detailing throughout and intricate tilework around the base.
