Risk of Collapse Leads to Recall of ELC Jungle Fun Ball Run

Recalled ELC Jungle Fun Ball Run

Early Learning Centre has recalled its own-brand ELC Jungle Fun Ball Run toy because there is a risk that the product may collapse.

The affected product was sold in ELC and Mothercare stores and their websites from July 2016 until January 2018. This product was described as suitable for children 12 months and older on the box as well as in ELC’s catalogue and online.

The toy has the product code 143471, which is printed near the barcode on the packaging and also on one of the green bases of the product itself. Mothercare assigned its own style number to the product: IA356 (that is the letter “i” at the start of the code), so you may have seen this when ordering online from Mothercare.

If you have this product, stop its use immediately and return it to an ELC or Mothercare store for a full refund. It is possible that the Jungle Fun Ball Run was purchased from other stores or online retailers. If that is the case, you should contact the place of purchase for a refund.

In a recall notice, ELC described this recall as “voluntary” and stated: “This action has been taken to ensure the safety and well-being of our customers and we apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.” If you have further questions, Mothercare (the owners of ELC since 2007) can be contacted via email: product.safety@mothercare.com.
